Vertical parking for Hamburg-Eimsbüttel: VePa in the media spotlight
More green space, less time spent looking for parking spaces – and right in the middle of it is our VePa parking tower! In Hamburg-Eimsbüttel, a lively debate is currently underway about how to make urban mobility smarter and more space-efficient. The Green Party and the CDU have submitted a proposal for vertical parking – and our concept is at the heart of it.
The media reports: Both the Eimsbütteler Nachrichten and the Hamburger Abendblatt, as well as NDR, are picking up on the idea of rethinking public space with modular parking towers. Up to 16 parking spaces can be created on just around 49 m² – including charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The technology enables a fully automated parking process that is digital and efficient.
“We need to rethink public space,” says Nina Schübel of the Green Party. And that is precisely our goal: to rethink mobility and make cities more livable. The district assembly is currently reviewing possible locations and the economic viability of the project.
We are delighted about the growing interest and are ready to set new standards in Hamburg with our parking towers. Because it is certain that urban space needs new ideas – and we deliver them.
